Emma Aala Ernestburg

EMMA AALA ERNESTBURG, 78 of Laie, HI, passed away in Laie, HI.  She was born in Honolulu, HI.  She was involved in scouting for over 50 years and was a Silver Beaver and Silver Fawn recipient (highest scouting award for BSA leaders in the council) and Silver Antelope an outstanding award for her service to youth in the BSA Western Region.  She is survived by husband William Kanila Tripp Ernestburg; sons William K.T. Ernestburg III, McKay (Leimomi) Ernestburg; daughters Cirilla "Chocho" M.K. Paclib, Willemma H.K. (Damien) Kekahuna, Leialoha G.K. (Lincoln) Mataalii, Gilberta K.L. Ernestburg, Siliwa G.K. Ernestburg; brothers Jacob P. (Gwen) Kaleikini, James (Patricia) Young; sisters Hope L. Kaleikini, Violet (Jim) Hawkins; 28 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.  Visitation 9:30am Friday September 2, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Laie Seventh Ward (55-600 Naniloa Lp., Laie).  Funeral service 11:30am.  Burial 1:30pm at Laie Cemetery.  Aloha attire.  Flowers welcome.
