Archidalia Mapuana Kawaa, 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Nanakuli, HI, on May 14, 2018.
Archie was born in Honolulu to parents Frances Kapulani Imaikalani and Juan Colliado Navarro, and raised in Nanakuli. Archie graduated from Waianae High School in 1962. She married John Nihipali Kawaa, Sr., in 1965 and was blessed with four daughters, a son, and one hanai son: Lori Barrozo (Al), Kimmy Samante (Charlie), Monica Bell (Gino), Noelani Apana (Jimbo), John Kawaa, Jr., and James Navarro (Chanel). She was preceded in death by her husband John, her daughter Lori, and grandson Kainalu. She is survived by children Kimmy, Monica, Noelani, John, and James; grandchildren Kaena Barrozo, Kale Samante, Chad Samante, Sanoe Samante, Alika Bell, Makamae Bell, Kaimi Apana, Kapono Apana, George Navarro, Kailee Navarro, Cole Navarro; great grandchild Kyzer-John Apana. She is also survived by brother Raymond Navarro (Edith); sisters Ivy Kuakini (Bobby), Ashlyn Algee (Michael Cox), Momi Keawe (Mitchell); nieces; nephews.
Archie will always be remembered as a caring, loving, warm, sweet, and kind wife, mom, mama, tutu, sister, aunty, and friend.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening, June 4, 5:30 p.m., with service to follow at 6:30 p.m., at the House of Salvation Church & Bible School, located in Ka Waihona O Ka Na'auao Charter School Cafeteria, 89-195 Farrington Highway, Waianae, HI 96792, with Pastor Kevin Kwan presiding.
Visitation will also be held at the House of Salvation Church & Bible School on Tuesday morning, June 5, at 9:00 a.m.; service will begin at 10:00 a.m.; lunch to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary – Waipio, located at Mililani Memorial Park Road at Ka Uka Blvd., Waipahu, HI 96797
Casual attire. Flowers are welcome and can be sent to the House of Salvation Church & Bible School at Ka Waihona O Ka Na'auao Charter School Cafeteria, 89-195 Farrington Highway, Waianae, HI 96792, for delivery on Monday, June 4, after 12:00 p.m.
