GAUDENCIO BUYA ABELLA, 88, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii passed away October 12th, 2017 in Ewa Beach.  He was born in Dasol, Tambobong, Pangasinan, Philippines.  Gaudencio retired from the United States Navy after serving for 20 years as an Admiral's Aide.  Thereafter, he worked in the food service industry as a cook until his retirement.  His passion was working in his garden where he cultivated flowers, fruit trees and vegetables.  Gaudencio was also known for his excellent cooking skills, preparing meals for his family and for special occasions.    

Gaudencio is survived by his wife, Cornelia Abella; son, Edgar (Divina) Abella; two daughters, Diane (Curtis) James and Patricia (Joseph) Samante; brothers, Wardelito "Boy" (Lourdes) Abella, Wilfredo (Lydia) Abella and Isidro (Perla) Abella; grandchildren, John Carlo (Rhona) Navarro, Raedon Pagba, Kristyn Pagba, Jarica Abella and Curtis James, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Eleanor Navarro.

Services for Gaudencio will take place at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary's Makai Chapel on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.  Visitation will begin at 8:30 am followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 am.  Burial will take place after the Funeral Services at 11:00 am at Mililani Memorial Park.  Casual Attire, Flowers Welcome.
