John 'J.R.' Luka Rosa, Sr.

JOHN 'J.R.' LUKA ROSA, SR., of Mililani passed away on June 7, 2018 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu, HI. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend. 

He is survived by his wife Aida D. Rosa; sons William D. Rosa, John L. (Nicole) Rosa, Jr.; daughters Kathleen K. (Robert 'Hana') Callahan, Renee K. (Joseph 'Jose' Gonsalves) Rosa, Kristal W. (Robert) Jeremiah; brothers Louis G. (Carol) Rosa, Jr., Vincent E. (Margaret) Rosa; sisters Virginia (Siaosi) Siamani, Anna Salavea, Janice (Denis) Smiley; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. 

He worked for: Weyerhaeuser on Nimitz in the 70's- mid 80's. He was a Union Steward and also created a volleyball team with is Weyerhaeuser co-workers. He worked for Panorama Air, on Lagoon Drive, in the mid 80's. He worked for Papillion Helicopters, on Lagoon Drive, in the late 80's- 90's as the island manager. He worked for ADT Auto Action, on Sand Island, which merged to Manheim Auto Auctions on Mapunapuna from the mid 90's to 2011 as a crew chief. 

He was a member of Ka Ma Kua Moa Loa Church on Mokauea Street in Kalihi. 

Visitation will be 5:30 pm Monday July 30, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park's Mauka Chapel followed by wake service at 6:30 pm and dinner afterwards.

Second day visitation will be 9:30 am Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park's Mauka Chapel with funeral service at 10:30 am followed by lunch.  Burial will follow at 2:00 pm Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park cemetery ( 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744)
