ORVILLE "DAN" BOLIN, 92 of Kaneohe, passed away on December 1, 2018 in Kaneohe. He was born in Dorothy, West Virginia.
Dan was a member of New Hope Kaneohe for 17 years and was an avid golfer and bowler up to a year before he passed. Dan also served in the US Army for 21 years, earning The Bronze Star, The WW II Victory Medal and The Korean Service Medal.
Dan is survived by his son Ronald S. Shinno; daughter Carolyn S. Kanoho; brother Don Wahl; sisters, Maxine Wahl, Elaine Gay, Carol Phillips and Shirley Daniel; 4 grandchildren, Dawne Shinno, Kristoffer Kanoho, Grant Kapono Kanoho and Nicole Ruston; 9 great-grandchildren, Marcus Channell, Tyler Channell, Nainoa Kanoho, Imaika Kanoho, Adrian Kanoho, Emma Kanoho, Eligh Kanoho, Ellis Grace Kanoho, & Ellaria Ruston.
Dan was also predeceased by his wife, Eleanor T. Bolin; son, Danny A. Bolin; sisters, Edith Wahl and Janice Price and grandson, Todd Shinno.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park's Mauka Chapel. Service to follow at 6:00 pm.
Burial will be 11:00 am the next day, Monday, January 14, 2019, at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery.
Casual attire. No flowers please.
