Thomas Sadato Moriwaki Jr.

THOMAS 'TOM' MORIWAKI, JR., 64 passed away on October 21, 2018 in Vancouver, Washington.  He was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Tom loved his sports...basketball, baseball & football. He would watch multiple channels continuously to keep up with various team scores. He loved watching the “Little League” baseball competition as he started in “Little League,” himself as a left handed pitcher.  He continued his dads legacy as being a sports fanatic! They’re probably watching some event as we speak.  Tom loved his sports, but his true passion was golf! Spring was his favorite time of year as the golf courses would be open & available to play. He looked forward to playing at Black Butte, Oregon’s golf course when invited by Dr. Roger Saulson. Tom was fortunate to have played at Black Butte this past Memorial Day weekend. Despite his aching back, sore knees & tired feet, all of those ailments were gone when he was on the field. Then the aches & pain would reappear after playing 18 holes. But, it was all worth it!

Tom was a people person, always interested in the life of another person’s history. He would never say anything negative of someone as he saw only the good in people. He’s always willing to help another human being in distress. He was known as Dear Tom....to his family, friends & co-workers. Tom’s advice was always invaluable to everyone he crossed paths with. Tom worked in the pharmaceutical sales field for more than 30 + years. He was last employed by Aerie Pharmaceuticals, lasting 3 weeks. His previous employers were Shire Pharmaceuticals, Bausch & Lomb, Ista Pharmaceuticals & AH Robbins. He was known to be a “Legend in his Field!”

He is survived by wife Eva & son Evan. Mother Peggy, brothers Daryl (wife Char), & Steven (wife Keri).  He will always be remembered as the man with the “winning smile.”

Funeral visitation will be at 9:00 am on Wednesday December 12, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park's Mauka Chapel followed by Memorial Service at 10:00 am and burial at 1:00 pm.
