Today, Mia and I celebrated Jessica's heavenly anniversary with Jessica's dog Cocoa, Mia's dog Cannoli, and my dog Peanut with breakfast in bed.
Jessica's dad messaged Mia her daughter sentimental memories of Jessica. Soon after, Mia and I continued on with our annual 7-11 run starting from Pahoa through Hilo 7-11s. We made a pitstop at the mall to get a t-shirt for Mia to commemorate her mommy's favourite soda-pop "Mountain Dew Baja Burst." Then circling back towards Keaau and Kurtistown 7-11s. We ended with dinner at another of her diner favs, and ordered one of many favourite local plates of hers -- Mia had korean bbq ribs, and I had the steak, onions, and mushrooms. A nice celebration to remember her.

Nine years ago today, Jessica spirited away to be with loved ones in heaven. I often wonder how it is in heaven. Exploring God's creation in animals will be in harmony with man. In the book of Isaiah 11:6 it says "the wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, and the lion will eat straw like the ox." Heaven will be filled with this kind of harmony. Jessica loved animals. I wonder if she is there with our dogs and cats, and other wonderful animals. I wonder the glory that fills all peaceful surroundings. In Isaiah 65:25 also said that "they will neither harm or destroy all My holy mountain." There will be peace throughout all creation. What a beautiful life to live in heaven. I can hardly wait to see what Jesus is preparing for me. I can hardly wait to be with Jesus and all my loved ones. What a wonderful day that will be.

Throughout her life, Jessica longed for adventure. She was up in the morning at the break of dawn, sometimes singing, sometimes humming, and even at other times calling out for something to warm her belly before heading out to who knows where life will take her that day.

Reading the King James Bible, the book of Ezekiel, chapter 47, verse 9 "Where the river flows everything will live." When my daughter Jessica, my son Ricci, and my daughter Jayna were young, little, and sportsworthy, I would pack them up early in the morning with our fishing gear in hand, and jump into our jeep heading for where the river flows.

I can remember how the morning sun looked when it hit the water, and I'd catch a glimmer of Jessica's reflection enjoying the glow of the rising sun as it dances on the rippling waters, the summer breeze tickling her face, and the peace that invades my child. I have plenty of joy in my heart for her.

Although she is not here with me, I have many joyful memories of her.
I am reminded of another scripture from the bible: Psalm 16:11, "In your presence is fullness of joy." God fills my heart with joy and happiness.
I thank my God Almighty for the "fullness of joy."

Today is Jessica's earthly birthday. Jessica would have been 39 years old. She would have wanted to celebrate this day cruising down bayfront and swimming at the beach with her family. We would always spend her day like this. I love and miss her so fervently. God willing, I will soon see her again.
