Abraham “Abe” Ramos, 89, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, October 15,2020 in Ewa, Hawai’i. Abe was born on March 15, 1931 in Ola’a, Hawai’i. In his 20’s Abe was a union journeyman and construction painter for Veteran’s Painting where he worked in the construction of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. He later continued his construction painting workfor the Jade Painting Company and Glen Sugimoto Contracting Co. Abe spent his later years as a resident of West Loch Elderly Village where he will be missed by many of his friends. Abe was a great cook, an avid fisherman and sportsman in his downtime. He was always generous with his time and his gifts and will be missed dearly by his surviving family and friends.
He is survived by his 3 younger siblings, Procopio Ramos, Leonora (Ale) Gantala and Magdalena Peros, and is survived by his remaining children, Raymond Cantohos, Rachel (Primus) Delagarza, Richard Cantohos Jr., Abraham Ramos Jr, Randolph(Sheryl) Ramos; grandchildren, Ronald, Kaupena, Rayline, Cyrus, Monica, Jennifer, Regina, Darrel, Davina, Laura and Micah, 29 great-grand-children,15 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and by his favorite niece, Noreen Ramos-Harrington.
