Atsushi “archie” Horie

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Atsushi Horie returned to be with our Lord on Dec. 25, 2020. Atsushi was born on April 11, 1931. He was a Korean war veteran, infantry division, as a forward observer, during his service he was the recipient of the three bronze star medal for uncommon valor and heroism. One of his many accomplishments. After receiving a honorable discharge he moved to Chicago Illinois and worked for Color Printers for 7 years. He then returned to Hawaii and was employed by Tongs Publishing Co, Sturgis Printing, Star Bulletin Commercial Dept, and Affinity Inc. as a 4 color process pressman. In 1978-1996 Atsushi along with his wife, Elaine owned and operated their family business, Leeward Print & Screen for many years, and had become well known in the leeward business community. Atsushi was also a member of the Leeward Lions Club. Atsushi is survived by his wife Elaine Emiko Horie, his three children, Jani Heintz (Perry Heintz), Nathan Horie, Garrett Horie, Grandchildren, Nicholas Heintz, Cassidy Heintz, Chaz Horie, Zoeann Horie and Cody Horie.
