Ilene E.H. "Happy" (Foster) Baker, age 48, of Nanakuli, formerly from Mililani, passed away in Nanakuli on September 13, 2021. She was Owner and Chief Consultant of Ho’I I Ka ‘Aina, LCC, a local business specializing in genealogical & land research, and musical performances.
Happy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities including Family History, Relief Society, Temple Readiness, and much more. She was a graduate of Mililani High class of 1991 and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Library Informational Science in 2012. Happy enjoyed arts and crafts, going to the beach, spending time with friends, family, and the grandchildren, but mostly she enjoyed serving others and helping those in need. Happy had an infectious smile and she was a great listener. She made life-long friends wherever she went.
Happy is survived by her husband, James K. K. Baker: daughter, Hilina’i K. M. (Philip) Davis; father, Orville Carl K. Foster; brother, Carl K. (Nora) Foster; sisters, Pua Ali’i Lum of Kansas and Trina Ellen M. (Warren) Wegesend; Sister-in-law Jovan (Kawika – deceased) Foster; 4 grandchildren, Maka’ala, Kahiau, Malie & Kamaehu; Nieces & Nephews
Memorial Services for Happy will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Makakilo Stake Center (92-900 Makakilo Dr., Kapolei, HI 96707) Visitation 10am-12pm, Service 12pm-1pm
