Jane Moana Kupukaa Gray, 81 of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on October 24, 2023. She was born in North Kohala, Hawaii.

She was predeceased by her husband George Edward Gray, brother Edmund Kalei “Sonny” Kupukaa, Matthew Kakalia “Makaio” Kupukaa and Gorcey K. Kupukaa.

She is survived by daughters Maybellyn “Cissy” Kahaunani Quiming, Georgielyn Keolanohonani Smythe and Edmundlyn “Edie” Kalaimomilani Quiming; sister Mabel Lehua Gallegos, grandsons Moses K. K. Smythe (Tiana) and Nathanael Quiming-Kahele, granddaughters Leimomi Quiming, Analisa L. Hiraga (Matthew), Sissy Quiming, Kanani M.N.M. Smythe and Hokulani Quiming and 9 great-grandchildren.

She will be forever remembered for her love of teaching ukulele, singing songs in Hawaiian, Filipino and Japanese and hula dancing.

No funeral services will be held. Her ashes will be scattered in the ocean on Saturday November 18, 2023.
