Julia Elizabeth Schoen, nee Larsen.

Julia was born on February 7, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Frederick Nils and Julia H Larsen. While she was growing up, her military family lived in various foreign countries, which sparked a lifetime love of travel.

She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii with her husband, Frank Schoen, many years ago and remained an enthusiastic Hawaii resident for the rest of her life. In past years, she was a member of DAR and ABWA and active in the community, doing volunteer work for the Honolulu Marathon, Coast Guard Auxiliary, HOT, and other organizations. Julia was also a lover of the arts and supported local talent in Honolulu theater groups.

She will be remembered by her friends and others she knew for her inquiring mind, honesty, and generous spirit.
