Mardell Vanderbrink Lindsey

Mardell Vanderbrink Lindsey, 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Haleiwa, Hawaii on
Monday, April 18, 2022, with her loving friend Rich by her side.
She was born on August 13, 1947 to Dale and Sylvia Whaley in Bay City, Michigan. She spent
her last 30 years in Hawaii with her late husband Earl Lindsey while he was in the military.
Mardell was happiest in her garden growing flowers. She was a math tutor for many years. She
loved politics and world events. She and her husband enjoyed diving for shells in the ocean and
beach time on Oahu’s North Shore with her son and grandson.
Mardell is survived by Dale Keoni Vanderbrink (grandson), Dale Whaley (brother), Roanna Pettit
(sister), as well as nieces and nephews.
Her little dog, Spud and cat, Baby were a blessing to her and she was loved by good friends in
both Hawaii and Michigan. She will be dearly missed.
Mardell requested cremation to take place and chose not to have a service.
