Maynette "Laurie" Nuuanu Obituary

Maynette “Laurie” Ku’uleilani Lan-Heong Nu’uanu, born on January 3, 1954, peacefully went home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 16, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones in her home in Nanakuli at age 69.

Better known as Laurie or Aunty Laurie to most, she retired after 25 years of service with Marriott Hotels from the beautiful Beach Club Hotel in Ko Olina.  She enjoyed her retirement years doing what she loved most; spending time with family and traveling.

Her laughter, love and smile left a lasting impression on everyone’s life as she shared a part of her life with all who came to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Theodore "Ted" I. Nu'uanu Sr., sons - Ted Jr. (Keahi), Kaipo (Leah), Pakele (Peka), daughter - Sheena (Candy), 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, siblings – Fred (Honey-Girl), Cher, Iris (Rick), David, and Maile (Mahi).

Please join us in celebrating our beloved mother’s life on Saturday, April 1 in the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel.  Public viewing is from 5:30 – 6:30 pm followed by her Celebration Of Life service from 6:30 – 7:30 pm with final viewing until 8:30 pm.
