Ronald Kanoelehua Young, 79, of Makakilo, Hawaii, went on to glory on August 14, 2022, joining his beloved wife and sweetheart, Alfrieda Young.
He was born on July 15, 1943 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended and graduated from Waianae High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army, marrying the love of his life and ending in the National Guard. He then began his career as a welder at the Dillingham Shipyard and moved on to employment with the Hawaiian Electric Company with 35 years of service.
As one of the strongest, most hard working men around, he instilled in his children the importance of doing what is right, working hard and not giving up. He treasured and valued his family and was the best Papa to all his mo'opuna. A true leader and a great provider with a big heart, he is so loved and will be deeply missed!
He is survived by: sons, Ronald (Tammy) Young Jr. and Reed (Anna) Young; daughter, Roxie (Brad) Flynn;
Siblings, Katherine Edsell, Christian Aona III and predeceased by Audrey Timbal;
11 Grandchildren: Kryshelle Young, Kaelym (Abe) Kyle, Ronald (Ekolu) Young III, Ronson Young, Kambraey Young, Rustin Young, Kiercyn Young, Jeremiah Young, Boston Flynn, Wyatt Flynn and Baylen Flynn;
1 great-grandchild, Taedyn Young
Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, Mililani Memorial Park, Waipio - Makai Chapel.
Visitation begins at 9:30 am and service will commence at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at 12:30 pm, Mililani Memorial Park.
