TRACY LEON HILL’S FAMILY CIRCLE BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 29, 1961 WITH HIS FATHER, WILLIAM LOVETT HILL AND MOTHER, GENEVA ANDERSON HILL; MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, MARTHA KNIGHT ANDERSON, AND HIS ELDEST SIBLING, LOVETT LAVONE HUNT, ALL WHO PREDECEASED HIM TO THE GLORY OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.

Tracy had 8 siblings whom he loved and cherished.

Brothers - Willie and Robyne Hill, Tommie and Geraldine Hill, Dennis and Jo-Ann Hill, Ronnie and Ann Hill, Anthony Mincey.

Sisters - Lovett Lavone and James Hunt, Gloria and Harry Taylor and Marilyn Hill-Barnes.

 

TRACY WAS BORN TO A SMALL COMMUNITY ON VIOLA STREET, WILSON, NC WHERE HE GREW, DEVELOPED AND MATURED INTO AN EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG MAN. HE RECEIVED HIS PRIMARY EDUCATION IN WILSON COUNTY, WILSON, NC AT THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS: ST ALPHONSUS, MARGARET HEARNE, SAM VICK, COON SCHOOL, WOODARD, DARDEN AND A 1980 GRADUATE OF RALPH L FIKE HIGH SCHOOL where he excelled as an athlete in Football and Basketball..

AFTER GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL, TRACY ENLISTED WITH THE US NAVY WHERE HE HONORABLY SERVED FOR 4 YEARS. HIS LAST ASSIGNMENT IN THE NAVY STATIONED HIM IN HAWAII WHERE HE CONTINUED TO LIVE FOR 39 YEARS UNTIL HIS DEATH.  WHILE IN HAWAII, HE MET AND MARRIED DENISE CHOQUETTE ON OCTOBER 19, 1996. THEIR LOVE AFFAIR CONSISTED OF 5 YEARS OF COURTSHIP AND 24 YEARS OF A BLISSFUL MARRIAGE.  GOD BLESSED THEIR UNION WITH TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN.

HIS SON JOSHUA FOLLOWED HIS DAD’S MILITARY FOOTSTEPS BY ENLISTING IN THE NATIONAL GUARD WHILE SIMULTNEOUSLY PURSUING HIS EDUCATION AT UNLV AS A 2020 GRADUATE WITH A DEGREE IN JOURNALISM. HIS DAUGHTER JORDAN IS ATTENDING AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY MAJORING IN COMMUNICATION WHILE PLAYING COLLEGIATE SOCCER AND WILL GRADUATE IN MAY 2021.  HE WAS SO PROUD OF HIS CHILDREN AND THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.  SECOND TO HIS LOVE FOR FAMILY, TRACY HAD A GREAT PASSION FOR SPORTS ESPECIALLY AS A DIE-HARD REDSKINS FAN. FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS, HE WAS EMPLOYED WITH FED-EX WHERE HE RETIRED MARCH 2019.

HIS MOST REMARKABLE JOURNEY LED HIM TO HIS LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST TO WHOM HE SURRENDERED HIS HEART AND SOUL.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE NEW HOPE OAHU CHURCH IN HAWAII. HE IS LOVED AND MISSED BY THE MANY PEOPLE HE TOUCHED ALONG THE WAY.
