I regret that I will never be able to finish my conversation with Aunty Mae. She said goodbye before I could say hello. I wish my work abroad had not prevented me from spending more time with Aunty Mae and Uncle Irwin. I greatly admired them. Of my Tanaka side of the family, she was the last of her generation, and she left with the last memories of that time. She brought warmth and kindness to the whole family.
Goodbye Aunty Mae. We will miss you.
