I went to Our Lady of Sorrows with Aaron. Never forgot him. I’m sorry he is gone.
A candle was lit in remembrance
Aaron and myself were from one of the big family's who grew up in Wahiawa, I was number 3 out of seven and born in January 1959. I would like to extend my deepest heartfelt condolences to Gretchen and the boys as well as the Lorenzo ohana. May god bless you all.
Heartfelt Sympathy to the Lorenzo family - Auntie and cousins and Gretchen and family.God bless you all.
God bless my friend. Playing against you at Kamehameha; and then with you at Foothill, man you were a class act. Good times at Waimea Bay, going to SFO for concerts...prayers of aloha to your ohana.
Prayers for Gretchen and sons, peace be with all of you.
Sorry for your loss I also just lost my son
Aaron was a 1977 graduate of the Kamehameha Schools and was a stand-out football, basketball, and baseball athlete there. In football, he was a three-year varsity player and his stardom began with his "super catch" for a touchdown vs Iolani at the old Honolulu Stadium in 1974. He was an ILH all-star receiver for the Warriors in his junior and senior years. He also was a star for the Kamehameha basketball and baseball teams, the former which won the Hawaii state championship in 1976.Â
One of the kindest, sweetest uncles I've got! Best memories that quickly come to mind: the tone of his voice and melody of how he said one's name when calling; him putting my hair up with newspaper rubberband (when I was little); him taking me places (also when I was a young girl) and people asking if I was his kid; getting to ride in his old VW van (also during hanabada days); his smile; conversations at gatherings; stopping by whatever bank he was managing (BOH, ASB, etc) to complete a transaction, but to also see and chat with him; him living his best life even through cancer's trials; seeing and hearing his love for Aunty Gretchen, Reyne, Noah, and Brock;and this could go on...
