Adam Barret Cole's Obituary
Adam Cole Obituary
Adam Cole, was born on December 22nd, 1960 to Lolly and Sonny Cole. He was brother to Glen, Norman, Nelson, Francine, and Kim.
His stomping grounds were Aiea and was a proud graduate of Aiea High School c/o 1978. One of his proudest achievements during that time was performing at school talent shows with his guitar and singing ability.
Adam met Alane Koerte in 1977 and it was love at first sight! They were married on May 2nd, 1980, and had their first daughter, Cassie. Next came Adam Jr., Crystin followed, then Challaigne, followed by Cameran, and the last beautiful baby was Cayleigh-Rose. He was very close to his children.
Adam and Alane have been married for 41 years, which is rare to find. That may seem long in years, but time went by in the blink of an eye. Adam leaves behind 6 children and 5 grandchildren. He dedicated his life to taking care of his wife and children. Adam was a kind, hardworking, loving, family man who enjoyed singing and cooking. During his younger
years as a local boy, he enjoyed diving, fishing, camping, and hiking. And as he got older, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and friends, even if it was just to talk story. He was the guy who would lend an ear to anyone who needed it, give advice, or make you laugh through his hilarious stories.
Throughout his life, Adam has worked hard and at many different places. Some including Bill’s Fish and Chips, Foodland Waipahu, and GSF Trucking. But in 1990, Adam was able to find a career to call his own, and that was Costco Iwilei. He dedicated 31 years of service to Costco. He was loyal, hardworking, and treated everyone like family.
Some of his passion projects were singing in a band, producing a show with Alane called “Living Spiritually”, interning on the radio, and being an extra on some television shows. He was a man of many talents. He will always be remembered for his smile, laugh, and warmth. He was always making sure everybody was doing well and would call or reach out if he felt concerned.
Now we are left on this Earth missing him. We take comfort in believing that he is an Angel now, just as he had been when he was still physically here, protecting and watching over us.
Even though the absence of you is felt, and the grief is painful, we will do our best to make you proud. We will keep our bond strong. We will live our lives to the fullest. But most of all, we will continue to love you, and through us, we will keep your memory living on.
