Adelaida Lacar Obituary
Adelaida Pregillana Lacar, 84, of Honolulu, Hawaii, entered the kingdom of heaven on December 1, 2022. She was born on February 14, 1938, in Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Norberto and Maria Prigillana, and married to Pablo T. Quiban in 1958.
Adelaida worked at Dole Cannery and retired from the State of Hawaii in 2003. She loved cooking and gardening, and her favorite line was “Eat some more!” With her family and friends, she enjoyed many hours playing cards, ballroom dancing, dining out, and traveling to places like New York, Canada, Virginia, Georgia, Philippines, California, and her favorite Las Vegas.
She is survived by her children, Georgiana (Pearson) Best, Pablo (Janice) Quiban, John (Lynette) Quiban, grandchildren Cherylynn, Gianina, Patrina, Lyndsey, Fiona, Joshua, great-grandchildren Jace, Leah, Maya, Julius, and siblings, Carding Pregellana and Lydia Alcantara.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at St. Philomena Church (3300 Ala Laulani Pl., Honolulu). Visitation begins at 9:30 am, and service 11:00 am. Burial to follow 1:30 pm at Mililani Memorial Park.
