Adelina Balagat Obituary
Adelina "Deling" Lapenia Balagat, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 in Las Vegas Nevada. She was born on April 30, 1940 in San Manuel, Pangasinan, Philippines. Adelina immigrated to the United States in the late 1960s. She married Marianito on October 18, 1978 and had her only child in 1981. Adelina worked at Ilikai Hotel and retired with over 30 years of service.

Adelina was known for her boundless love, unwavering strength, and warm spirit. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and Aunt, she touched many lives with her generosity, kind heart, and listening ear.

She is survived by her daughter, Merly (Irenio) Sunico; siblings, Anatalia Imperial, Henosina Reyes, Anthoney Lapenia, Milagros Rivera and Mercedes Lapenia; 3 grandchildren, Chansen, Haylie, and Lyrical and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marianito, parents Segundo and Juliana and brothers Bernard and Esteban.

Wake service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30 pm and service at 6:30 pm.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at St. Philomena Church, Honolulu. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, program at 10:45 am and service at 11:00 am. Burial to follow, 1:30 pm at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
