Agnes Pagan Obituary
Agnes Lanakila Pa Pagan, Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 24, 1945, passed away at Pu?uwai o Makaha care home, Oahu on June 24, 2021.
She was pre-deceased by her son, James A. Pagan, III (8/8/2014) and her parents, Leslie and Hazel Pa
Survived by her twin brother, Leslie Pa, Jr., of Oregon; Sisters, Katherine Meeks and Linda Mills; her Niece and Caregiver, Yvonne K. Mills, Patcho; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Agnes graduated from Radford High School in Honolulu with athletic honors in Track & Field with Discus as her specialty. She worked as a clerk at Pearl Harbor for several years. Agnes had one child, “Kimo” who died from cancer at a young age. She and her husband divorced when Kimo was still a baby. As a single parent, she managed to travel with Kimo to Disneyland and various amusement parks in California. This took quite a bit of financial planning, etc., and living with her widowed mom helped her achieve many of her financial goals.
Honoring her Hawaiian heritage, Agnes was active with the Lanakila Seniors Ukulele Club and enjoyed sharing Hawaiian mele with her friends. Her Hawaiian name, Lanakila, translates to “Victory” as she was born in 1945 which was the beginning of the end of World War II. Agnes succumbed to complications from Diabetes. The family wants to express their appreciation to the staff at Pu?uwai O Makaha and to Hospice for their loving care.
