ALBERT MONIZ MARIA, JR.. of Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii, passed away March 28, 2019 after a long illness.
Born May, 9, 1933, Albert was the son of Albert and Delphine Maria, both of Oahu, HI. He was a lifetime resident of Ewa Beach, a proud father and husband, a member of the Army Reserve, and parishioner at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church of Nanakuli. Albert attended Saint Louis High School in Kaimuki and later retired after a successful 30-year career with Texaco.
His beloved wife Helen Abang Maria, to whom he was married for 49 years, and his son Alvin J. Maria, preceded Albert in death. He is survived by his children (and their spouses): Annette D. Maunupau, Anthony M. Maria, Alan J. Maria (Carmen), Anna Cabudol (Larry), Antoinette Kunukau (Casson), Grandchildren: Roman Maunupau, Stephanie Capehart, Michael Maunupau, Alan J. Maria Jr., Tiana Maria, Albert A. Maria, Shayna Johnson, Shannon Maria, Ashlynn Maria, Aryana Cabudol, Lauryn Cabudol, Camryn Cabudol, Cassie Kunukau, Anson Kunukau and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 8:30 am Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church in Nanakuli. The eulogy and mass will follow directly. Lunch is to be served after mass. Burial will take place at Mililani Memorial Park at 1:30 pm that afternoon. The funeral is open to the public. Casual or aloha attire.
