Alejo Fines Quiocho Jr.'s Obituary
In Loving Memory of Alejo Fines Quiocho Jr.
May 26, 1950 – July 1, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alejo Fines Quiocho Jr., who left this world peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the age of 76.
Alejo was born on May 26, 1950, in Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi. He answered the call to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy and, after 20 years of military service, continued his life’s work with the United States Postal Service. Colleagues and customers alike knew him for his steady commitment, adaptability, and the friendly warmth he brought to every interaction.
Above all else, Alejo treasured his family. A warmhearted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother, cousin, uncle, and friend, he had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel like they belonged. With his easygoing spirit, playful sense of humor, and endless patience, he filled every gathering with laughter and every conversation with warmth. He never missed an opportunity to reach out, check in, or spend time with those he loved, whether immediate family or extended ʻohana. His kindness, generosity, and carefree outlook on life reminded others to find joy in the little moments, laugh often, and cherish one another. To know Alejo was to feel welcomed, encouraged, and deeply loved.
Alejo carried a deep and joyful love for music. He found true happiness in singing, whether sharing favorite songs with family and friends, lifting his voice in celebration, or singing from the heart in quieter moments. His voice brought light and connection to those around him, reflecting the same warmth and gentle spirit with which he lived every day.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and strength.
