Alicia Flores' Obituary
Alicia Flores Obituary
Alicia Kauanoe was born on February 8, 1944. She was the eldest of 7 children, and she was loved. She went on to marry Joseph Flores and had 4 glorious children, Joechelle, Daynna, Todd, and Desmond. Unfortunately, Todd passed away at only 6 months. Mom never lost faith and kept praying. She has 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jada, Roman & Amanda; 2 great grandchildren, Spencer & Sebastian.
She was close with God and with our Church Ka Makua Mau Loa. She belonged to several groups and donated her time and her much coveted crocheted bags made from the plastic bags that hold groceries.
On Tuesdays, she and a small group of people would go to various hospitals and care homes and pray over fellow church members. Later, mom provided excellent care to our father until he needed medical care.
Some years after, it was now Mom’s time to be cared for. Due to her Multiple Myeloma and Lewy Body Dementia, she lost her vision and was bedridden. Joechelle, Daynna, and myself, along with Kaiser Home Health and then Bristol Home Hospice cared for Mom until she passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. She went Home with Jesus to be reunited with Dad and Todd and all our blessed family that went before her.
Mom, may you always shine bright so when it is my time, your light will lead me to you again.
