Alipio Cristobal Obituary
Alipio Agustin Cristobal, 88, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away on January 27, 2025, at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born in Navotas, Laoag City, Philippines, in 1936. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Feati University in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He successfully passed the board exam for Certified Public Accountant in 1962.
He married his lifelong partner Adelaida Bueno in 1964. After being blessed with daughters Armelinda and Josephine, the family moved to Hawaii in 1968.
After a successful career in both the private sector and the City and County of Honolulu, he retired in 2005. Alipio and Adelaida shared a love for adventure, travelling to destinations including Europe, Australia, Asia, The Holy Land, Mexico, Canada and 23 of the 50 United States. With many return visits to Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Severina and Pablo Cristobal, siblings Anastacio Cristobal, Esperanza Lagundino, Genoveva Bumatay, and Candelaria Lamug. He is survived by wife Adelaida Bueno Cristobal; daughters Armelinda Martin and Josephine Cristobal; sisters Virginia Carino and Lina Cristobal.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Alipio's life at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, April 22 at St. Joseph Church in Waipahu. Burial to follow at 1:30 PM at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary.
