Alyce Mae Pualehua "Doz" Viloria's Obituary
Alyce Mae Pualehua “Doz” Viloria, cherished aunty, daughter, sister, godmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026 at the age of 64, surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers. Born on August 31, 1961 on Oahu, Alyce lived a life full of laughter and aloha.
In her younger years, Alyce was a gifted hula dancer who found joy in sharing her culture through dance. She loved to sing along with music – from doing karaoke to accompanying the radio’s latest. (Sade, Bruno Mars, & Lady Gaga were favorites.) Doz also had a deep love for food — from savoring local favorites to exploring new flavors — and she believed that sharing a meal was one of life’s greatest joys.
Though her final years were marked by the challenges, Alyce’s heart, humor, and love for her family never wavered. Her resilience inspired all who knew her.
Though she never married, Alyce’s heart was full of love for her ohana nui. She was a devoted daughter and sister, a fun and caring aunty, and a loyal friend. Her generosity, humor, and ability to make everyone feel welcome will be remembered always.
She is survived by her niece Amber (Jeff) Whisler, uncle Walter (Theresa) Eli, as well as the Eli, Caravalho, and McCandless ohana nui along with countless friends who became ohana over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonetta Pualani Eli and Melvin Veloria, as well as her brothers, Dana L. and Melvin R. “Boy” Jahmana.
Alyce’s burial will take place at 9:30am on Saturday, October 24 at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary. A celebration of Alyce’s life will follow but details are still being organized.
