Val Nahalea
Aloha to the Streadbeck Ohana, my name is Val I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Amanda from 1990 - 2000 at (CKC) Chun Kim Chow. She was a awesome, very hard working, strong minded and very intelligent person. I met all of her children and her crazy sister Debra (lol) well that's what she said. She would have pot lucks for certain holidays at work, even though the boss might not approve of it, she would do it any for her workers, eventually the boss would join in. In those years of working with her she taught me a lot, not only at work but life lessons too. When I left CKC in 2000 for a better job I would stop by and visit occasionally until the company closed down.  I would try to keep in touch with her when I could, as years went by being busy with work and everyday life we didn't hear from each other for about over 10 or more years. My mom past in January 2020 and she worked at CKC with Amanda. A very good friend of mine Gal (who worked with Amanda too), Gal's nephew worked at the same company as me, he gave me Gal's number she contacted Amanda. long story short we got back in touch with each other. In February 22, 2020 at my Mom's funeral service was the last time I got to talk and have a few beers with Amanda. I would love to attend her service, please call or text me at 808-216-8988 I'd really appreciate it. Aloha ValÂ
