Andrew C. Cortez's Obituary
Andrew C. Cortez, 80, of Waipahu, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1945, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Andrew was a retired carpenter who worked for Kobayashi Construction until his retirement at age 60.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy M. Cortez; daughters, Liz C. Eder (Freddie) and Faina C. Ramelb (Roger); brother, George C. Cortez “Bob” (Tina) of the Philippines; and grandchildren, Christopher Eder (Tammy), Rachel Estrada, Jeremiah Estrada and Rhylea Ramelb.
A wake service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. and prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
