Aneti Sua Pedro of Wahiawa Hawaii passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on July 25, 2024 at home. He was surrounded by his family. He was the six child of Sania Pedro and Su’a Iosefa
He was born on Feb 6, 1941 in swains Island (Olohega) American Samoa Aneti graduated from Samoana high school of American Samoa in 1963.
He moved to Hawaii in 1963. He Worked in Schofield Barracks, Dole plantation and eventually landed on his long 38 years construction career as a general foreman for Hawaiian Dredging. He was a hard-working person. He also was very dedicated and proud of his work. HE was known for his creativity, "thinking-outside the box" and just- getting the job done. He genuinely loved everyone he worked with throughout his career. He humbly accepted certificates of his accomplishments and recognition of his knowledge of solving difficult tasks pertaining to his field, and building certain equipment’s that Hawaiian Dredging is using til now.
Aneti did not like being the center of attention, he deserved to be honored for having his long years of fatherly love. Aneti loved his family, supported them and he always made time for each of them. Aneti was a believer in God because he always thanks God for his accomplishments, his children and his daily needs. He was known as a man of lovingkindness.
He will help anyone who is in need and he was a very generous man. He certainly left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He loved and was always so proud of his Tokelauan culture, always singing, dancing and playing music on his ukulele. He loves singing, dancing with his siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces and anyone that visited him. He also had a cultural passion for fishing, he loved everything about it. he always said ... "you will never find another tokelauan, like me."
He is Survived by his 2 Sons: Aneti JR Pedro (Ashley) of Mililani Hi. Jon (Sara) Pedro of Kailua-kona Hi. 3 Daughters: Sania Pedro of Lihue Hi. Senetima Pedro of Wahiawa Hi. Jamie Clark of Wahiawa Hi. 2 Brothers: Ualesi (Carol) Pedro of Vista california Keneti (Rita) Pedro of Valley Center Ca. 2 Sisters: Siniva (Daniel) Lopez of San Diego Ca. Ruth (Sanford) Brown of Kapolei Hi. He has 22 grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Aneti Is preceded in death by his wife Gloria, Daughter Diane, and Son Bruce.
We will forever miss him.
Aneti’s Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 9AM Service at 10AM. light lunch to follow. Burial at 1:30PM
