ANGEL COLLO QUINABO, 94 years old of Honolulu, went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2018 from his home. He was born on March 5, 1924 in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Born to Nicolas Quinabo and Petra Collo Quinabo, Angel was the oldest of 7 children. He retired from Hawaii Stevedores Inc., (aka Castle & Cooke), after 39 years of dedicated service as a longshoreman.
He was married to the late Perpetua Buenafe Quinabo and together they raised 5 children. He is survived by sons Gary (Denise) Quinabo, Edgar (Frankie) Quinabo; daughters Angela (Rico) Cacho, Bernie (Al) Worley, Shirley Reyes; grandchildren Gavin Quinabo, Randy (Janet) Santiago, Joey Cordeiro, Sheena Fuertes, Shelton Fuertes, Jamie Reyes, Michael Reyes, ; great grandchildren Jazzy Santiago, Allyssa Santiago, Aren Santiago, Ava Santiago, Randy Santiago, Izayah Cordeiro, Malachi Cordeiro.
He was preceded in death by Perpetua Quinabo, Garyn Quinabo, Deanna Quinabo, Primo Quinabo, Leopoldo Quinabo, Marcela Pulanco, and Carmen Quinabo.
A devoted family man with a generous heart, Angel always placed everyone else before him. A very humble, Godly man, he enjoyed going to the beach and spending quality time surrounded by family. Everyone was family to him!
Gifted with gentleness and patience, he never complained while having to fight thru the physical challenges he encountered in the last year of his life. Being a man of wisdom, love and prayer, who lived up to his name, always thoughtful of everyone, sweet spirited and very generous, leaving behind a lifelong legacy!
Celebration of Life services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Mililani Downtown Mortuary located at 20 South Kukui Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Prayer Service and Family Program at 10:00 a.m. Lunch at 11:00-12:00. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Mililani Memorial Park in Waipio.
