Antonio Constantino Lacar's Obituary
Antonio “Tony” Constantino Lacar, 71, of Ewa Beach, HI, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 at Pali Momi Medical Center in Aiea, HI. He was born on May 22, 1954, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth and humor touched everyone he met and had a personality that could light up any room. He moved to Hawaii in February of 1979. He built a fulfilling career working for the State of Hawaii at the Department of Transporation, where he worked for 28 years as a supervising engineering technician VI. He also worked part time at Holiday Mart Pearl City (currently known as Don Quijote) in the electronics department. He eventually retired in June of 2016. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on his colleagues and community.
Outside of work, Tony lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed karaoke, playing piano and guitar, going to and hosting family parties and traveling, especially on cruiseships. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his two grand daughters, who adored their grandpa's stories and playful spirit.
Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Lilia "Lily" Angel Lacar; son, Kevin A. Lacar; daughters, Kristine L. Dean (Christopher), Kathleen L. Ang (Ryan); sister, Rosita "Rosie" Lacar Adaoag (Maximo), grandchildren, Kataleya Sofia Ang and Olivia Marie Dean; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is reunited in peace with his late father and mother, Jose and Trinidad Lacar and sisters Lucrecia L. Eder and Nely L. Bolosan.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation 5:30 p.m., Service 6:30 p.m. Burial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation 8:30 a.m., Service 9:30 a.m., and burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park & Cemetery.
Tony’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
