Aurora Aguisanda Guevarra's Obituary
AURORA AGUISANDA-QUIBOL, GUEVARRA, 81, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, born in the province of Cagayan, Philippines, on September 19, 1944. A faithful member of Iglesia ni Cristo and a loving, selfless and strong mother (“Mamang”) to Yolanda, Teresita & Francis, Lolita & Rick, Elena & Noel, and Caroline & Serkan, and In-Law to, Grace. Sweet “Lola Mamang” to Bea and Luis, Angel, Allysa, Ashley and Annabella, Pia, Gian, Dylan and Gabb, Zendrick, Nika, Volkan and Destan as well as her 2 great grandkids, Luke and Charlie. Beloved sister to Tinang, Hiling and Boy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgilio (“Papang”); her second husband, Felix; her son, Arnold and brothers Leon and Peter.
Mamang was a selfless, kind and loving woman. She has dedicated her life to her family. She prioritized the needs, comfort, and well-being of others above her own. She has been a rock, a matriarch for her children, grandkids and her vast extended family, including her brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was fond of listening to old 50’s and 60’s classic songs, especially Victor Wood and telling stories about her past, how people mistook her as a movie actress because of her mestiza look, how our Papang followed her to the province and asked for her hand in marriage, her struggles when Papang passed and left her with 5 young children. An entrepreneur by nature and did everything she can to provide for her 5 children.
The sacrifices Mamang made, the lessons she taught and the unconditional love she provided were the reasons why we are who we are today.
“We love you so much and we miss you, Mamang”. You will always be in our hearts.
“Mamang, thank you for your love, kindness, and the beautiful memories you shared with us. You will always be missed Mamang. We love you so much”
