Dear Bobbi, I met Bobbi at the Mililani Rec Center 7. She was the best water aerobic teacher, and my very first. And still today I practice some of her moves. And think often of her. As a weaver, I once wove a piece in her name. She came to the exhibition at Linekona Gallery. She said she would purchase it but did not have the length of wall for it. Someone else purchased it. Of course the piece was waves and blue. I miss you still Bobbi.

Bobbi Green, what a great and awesome lady, friend and mentor she was to a 10 year old girl that first year of the Waialua Swim team! Somehow she made swimming lap after lap (without goggles) an experience we looked forward to every day. Even today, I hear Bobbi’s patient insightful instruction as I approach the wall and hit my flip turn. : ) Plenty fond memories of Bobbi at our Plantation gatherings…her ever present smile, her Aloha spirit, and her beautiful hula. Our sincere Aloha and condolences to the Green and Bowman families.
Aue, aue, Bobbi! We will always hold you in our Waialua Swim Club memories. Willie Paty, Susie Paty, Jeff Peterson, Jeff Williams, Belinda Brimhall, and so many others, we were the first! You, Bobbi, with the help of Bill & Jeanie Sakovich coached us to greatness not only in swimming but in lfe. Your smile and warm heart with a true aloha spirit meant so much to so many. There was no doubt that we were part of your ohana from day one! Aue! Can we share nother lap in the pool, another laugh, another smile, another hug... Aloha, coach!

Aloha to the Bowman and Green 'ohana, my memories of Bobbi Green span the years of growing up in Hale'iwa. Her dancing hula at parties at my parents house, teaching me to swim at Waialua pool, helping me fly home from college on the mainland when she was a travel agent, ... Such a warm and caring soul, always with a ready smile and heartfelt compassion. From our Andersen 'ohana to the Green's and Bowman's , aue, aue. Her memory will be cherish in all who were touched by her grace.
