My condolences to all of Queenie's ohana as you gather to say farewell to her on May 29, 2025. I remember her as a young girl growing up on 10th avenue in Kaimuki. Uncle Didi and Aunty Francis lived in one of Granddaddy Young's houses. We lived with Grandma Davenport just a block away. We all walked to Aliiolani School together and went to Grandma's house in Punaluu on weekends and during the summer. I have so many memories of Queenie as a young girl. She was always so sweet, kind and of course the most beautiful of all the cousins. She was also talented and sang with her sister Linda, cousin Baby Leilani as the Davenport sisters. When our parents Didi and Francis and Charley and Lokelani Maples along with our Uncle David, Aunty Leilani, Aunty Pinau, Uncle Richie, and Uncle Teddy Bear were alive we were always together as family on weekends, holidays and vacations at Grandma's or Uncle Smitty's house. When Queenie, was the runner up to Miss Hawaii( I think she should have won) we were so proud of her. Then our Kupuna went to their heavenly homes. We married had families and sad to say lost track of one another. Nevertheless, the memories of bygone days and the relatives we share will live on forever. One day we will all be together again.Queenie may be gone physically but she will live on in each of your children, grandchildren and great grans. Louie as you look at all of them you will see traces of her in each one of them for they are the her legacy. God bless all of you and surround you with His love during the days to come.Lots of Aloha Marion Mae Lokelani Lindsey
