I miss Ben so much. Not having him him here has generated great pockets of loss, grief & loneliness in my heart. He was my buddy. My family. Yes ... I understand Ben is with our good Lord now, amongst his beloved if his past. He is free of illness, discomfort, & physical limitations. This, which I am truly grateful for. God, please grant me the understanding & acceptance that while Ben is no longer physically with us, his energy, vibrant & so everlasting, is with us.
I am sorry for your loss! I remember Ben when we were growing up In Burwell! He was 9 years older than me but I new him well. I remember coming to Hawaii around 1970 when I was in the navy and contacted Ben's wife she came to the navy base and took me to their home where we surpassed Ben had a great meal and a great time reminiscing. It was purely by accident that I was able to get in connect with them in 1970. I only knew they lived in Honolulu area but no other info so I just started calling Ben Johnsons in the phone book asking if any of them lived in Burwell, this nice lady, Bens wife said yes and asked if my name was Tim Anderson, I told her yes and she said that Ben had told her that one day I would be calling as I was in the navy and probably would get to Hawaii sometime. Unfortunately I never got back to Hawaii again and we never hooked up again but I will always cherish this memory.Â
