BENNY S. QUISENG, 89 of Wahiawa Hawaii died under Hospice care on April, 05, 2019. He was born in Wahiawa.
He is survived by his wife Linda Quiseng; sons Scott (Natalia) Quiseng, Steven Quiseng; daughter Lorina (Douglas) Arakawa; siblings Edwardo Quiseng, Arturo ( Miyoko) Quiseng, Perla Lei (Tony) Alvarez, Delfin (Peggy) Quiseng Jr, Lillian (Benny) Ebalei, James (Iris) Quiseng. 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Cousins, many nephews & nieces. Predeceased by his parents Delfin and Eladia Quiseng. Brother Avelino Quiseng, Sisters Aurea (Bill) Walsh), Magdelena (James) Jones.
Benny Retired from the US Army after serving in the military for 26 years. He then retired from 20 years civil service at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Benny was a naturally gifted athlete who enjoyed and excelled in many sports. He was a lightweight champion boxer while serving in the army, an aquatic diver; he completed four Honolulu Marathons, a high scoring bowler who loved to socialize at the Schofield Bowling Alley and had a lifelong passion for the sport of tennis. He served as the assistant tennis coach for the Leilehua tennis team from 1994-1997. He willingly gave free tennis lessons on the courts to anyone who shared his same interest in the sport. Especially anyone just learning to play. Benny volunteered his time to advocate and assist other disabled veterans. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wahiawa. His smile, and upbeat personality will be missed by many many friends and family.
We would love to have you join us to celebrate his life. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Wahiawa on Saturday April 27, 2019. Visitation at 8:30am. Service begins promptly at 10:30am with reception to follow. Burial service will commence on Monday April 29, 10:00am, 2019 at Schofield Barracks cemetery.
