BERTRAM SHOJI KOMENAKA
March 1, 1931- April 7, 2020
BERTRAM " BERT" KOMENAKA (89) passed away on April 7, 2020, in the home he built on 11th Ave in Kaimuki with family present.
Roosevelt High School '48, Univ of Hawaii at Manoa '52, U.S. Air Force, Capt.
AFRes ('52-'60). Son of Dr. Robert Shoichi & Masako Komenaka of 15th Ave. Survived by wife Jean, 3 daughters, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
Preceded in death by brother Ernest & sister Edna Komenaka.
Enjoyed volunteer work with Makiki Christian Church & Preschool, Boy Scout Troop 10, RHS '48 & RHS Alumni Association. Loved fishing, photography, airplanes & most of all, his family & devoted wife, Jean. "I will look among the stars in heaven for her... forever."
Private services held. Burial National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl at a later date.
