Brenda Kadomoto Obituary
Brenda Carole Adams Kadomoto, 74, of Makaha, Hawaii, passed away on October 24, 2024, in Honolulu. Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1949, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Joyce Nell Hawley and Johnny Vance Adams. She graduated from West Edgecombe High School, where she was an active cheerleader and embraced a love for athletics. Later, she attended college with a focus on history while working in Washington, DC, where she was engaged in political advocacy, notably opposing the Vietnam War.
In 1976, Brenda made the brave move to Hawaii, where she would call paradise her home for nearly five decades. She built a successful career as a property manager and realtor, working for various organizations, including Servco Pacific, where she met Stanley S. Kadomoto, the love of her life. Brenda and Stanley were married on December 7, 1991, at Nuuanu Baptist Church, solidifying a union that was rooted in love and mutual faith.
Brenda was a woman of deep Christian faith, and her belief in Jesus Christ guided her life. She shared her faith openly with those around her, holding fast to the promise of the glorious resurrection and believing that the “Dead in Christ will rise first.”
Brenda’s heart was devoted to her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lea Garcia, and son-in-law, Bernard; her five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and who will carry her legacy forward. Brenda was well-loved and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
