We are from a family of 11 siblings, however the first 3 died at infantry. Bradda Joe, was the oldest of the 5 boys who I grew up with. Joe was stubborn at times, but also very sweet, kind, and a very sensitive and loving man. Joe loved and cared for his family and friends deeply and always wanted the best for everyone. Growing up he enjoyed collecting things like antiques, keepsakes, mementos, pretty much anything that he thought might one day be a collectible. His home became very unique and interesting. I thought of it as "Joe's plantation museum". One fun fact we laughed about was that he would steal the kids toys and decorate his house with them. The kids would get upset because they wouldn't have a chance to play and enjoy their toys. Joe had airplanes hanging from his ceiling, doll heads and toy trucks all over the yard arranged neatly throughout his garden between flowers and trees, among other things. He was Ewa's own "Sanford and Son" but we love him dearly and will truly miss him. One of the things I remembered about Joe before he was married, he used to hang out at Rudy's Grill, a local bar in Ewa. He would even collect items from Rudy's like signs, bar stools, nik naks. One day the owner of Rudy's grill was invited to a party at our house and found all of his missing items in our yard. Joe was busted but all he could do was laugh about it. Bradda Joe was a simple man who loved the simple things in life and brought a lot of joy and laughter to his friends. They all enjoyed hanging out drinking beer in the yard/museum. Lol. My memories of him brings a lot of joy in my life. He will finally be reunited with mama, papa, P, Abe, the rest of our siblings, families, relatives, and friends within the pearly gates. Rest in Love and Peace Joe, we will truly miss you. Please give our love to all our missed loved ones.
