Hailama Kahele
I met Grandma Toa'i through her grandson Albert who I became good friends with a few years before his passing which sadly happened to have been the day of my birthday in 2012. She and the rest of Albert's family welcomed me into their home with open arms from the very first day I've met her and the rest of Albert's family. At times while picking Albert up I would sit and talk story with her she would tell me stories of her up bringing and we would even sing church songs together, little did we know she knew my family and became part of my extended family which from the day I met her respectfully I would call her Grandma Toa'i. I have good memories of my dear friend Albert and I am greatful to have had the opportunity of meeting Grandma Toa'i who I have great memories of as well. At times Grandma Toa'i would allow me to sleep over because she didn't want me driving home to Hauula late at night. She would be sure that I always had something to eat and drink and made sure that I was comfortable. I like to offer my Sincere Love and Condolences to her family. Grandma Toa'i had a Big Heart which I will never forget. May the Grace of God Continue to Bless the Family with Love and Comfort Always. All my Love, Hailama Kahele
