His nephew and nieces from his only brother lived in Arizona as well. Chad often felt homesick so visiting back home in Hawaii was a must. He did come back to live with his father Morris and bother Cj in cement city for a few years. Then went back to Arizona. Then in 2014 Chad decided to stay in Hawaii for good to spend more time with family. He lived with his nephew Joshua and his family in Whitmore. There he became a babysitter, a coach, a landscaper, a therapist, a discipliner, and a great Uncle. He took his last breath on February 2, 2019 with love of his sisters right next to him.
He is survived by his father Maurice Jumawan; brother Christopher M. Jumawan; sisters Verna M. Repollo (Roel), Vanessa M. Winston (Tristan); numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his mother Loretta A. Rosaldo.
