Charles Mitsuo Nakama's Obituary
Charles Nakama Obituary
On July 4th, 1949, Charles (Charlie) Mitsuo Nakama was born on the island of Oahu in the city of Honolulu, Hawai?i. He was the son of Irma and Charles Nakama. Charlie married the love of his life, Susan Yamamoto, where he would end up spending his last 25 years with her until his passing.
After receiving much love and well wishes on Father's Day, Charles Mitsuo Nakama passed away peacefully, alongside his wife and children in the early morning of June 20th, 2022. He has fought a hard battle with cancer over the past 3 years. He was 72 years old, and less than 3 weeks away from turning 73 years old.
Charlie has dedicated his life to his family and friends. There was never a day that went by where he was not rooting for his children to become the people they were supposed to be. He always showed a high level of love and support for his beloved wife, Susan; 6 children, Charles (Chas) Nakama, Sean Nakama, Dawn Allison, Heather Townsley, Devin Nakama, and William Nakama; 2 sisters, Karen Warwick and Christy Carle; and 12 grandchildren.
Charlie graduated from Saint Louis High School and Chaminade University. Charlie was a teacher’s aide for students who are of special needs.
He was happiest with his surfboard, riding the waves that crash along the shores of O?ahu. There is never a second that goes by where he is not deeply missed. I will forever love and miss you dad. Always in our hearts.
