Chris was a force of nature, pure electricity, unwilling to ever be anyone but himself. Meeting in our teens changed the trajectory of my life forever. Even in immaturity he was so, so casually wise. He taught me so much about how to be true to yourself, how to argue for what you believe, that I didn't have to compromise who I was to live in the world. Almost everything I needed to learn about being authentic, about putting myself to the work of knowing myself, I learned from Chris. He taught me lessons that took me years and decades to understand.

Thanks, Chris, for teaching me to love fully, every direction everywhere all the time, to live it all, to see people, to get over myself, to get to work. Thanks for being a teenager with me. Thanks for always making time through the mess of adulthood. You deserved 100 more years and you did more than most people would do with 1000.

After school, we went to downtown pearlridge. On the 2nd floor by the escalators, a few tables and chairs were set up with chess boards on top. We asked if we can join and they said yes. When we sat down, we played speed chess with no time to think betwen each move. This attracted a small crowd and I won that round

For those who forget, You are and will always be The Storm, The Sea, and The Lighthouse.

Chris was a force of nature. The Storm that destroyed the houses of doubt, guilt, an insecurities we built for ourselves to live in.

Chris was The Sea. Vast, deep, and mysterious.
Those brave enough to take the dive might find there's treasure in its darkest depths.

He challenged us to find whats precious in the parts of ourselves we fear most.

Whenever we felt lost, adrift in the world. Chris was The Lighthouse guiding us safely back home.
