Christy-Lynn Avilla Obituary
CHRISTY-LYNN ASUNCION VASQUEZ AVILLA, 34 passed away on August 29, 2018 at Pali Momi Hospital. She was born in Vallejo, CA. She served as a Staff Sergeant in the Hawaii Air National Guard for 12 years and also served as a police officer at HPD for 10 years.
Christy-Lynn is survived by her son Antonio Avilla; mother Alyn (Lynn) Vasquez; step-father P.K. Dela Cerna Jr.; brother Conrad Vasquez; sisters Carlita Mendez and Ligaya Hartman; step-sisters Halona Brooks, Vanessa Connelly, and Sheena Dela Cerna; step-brother Justin Dela Cerna; grandmother Hortense Anna Asuncion. She also has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life for Christy-Lynn will be held on Monday September 24, 2018 at First Assembly of God - Red Hill (3400 Moanalua Rd, Honolulu, HI 96819) with visitation at 5:30 pm, service at 6:30 pm.
Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery (45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744)
kindly requesting that all HPD and military personnel come in dress uniform to honor Christy-Lynn's military and police service, but not obligated
