Clemencio "Jose" Empleo Carranza's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the loss of Clemencio “Jose” Empleo Carranza, who passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by his family. Born in San Esteban, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Clemencio lived a life grounded in faith, devotion to family, and quiet generosity.
He and Dolores shared 54 years of marriage, raising their three children — Elissa Jane, Gwendolyn, and Richard — and guiding them with his values. Clemencio worked in construction for over 20 years as a Foreman, taking deep pride in the work of his hands and in the life he built for his family.
After retiring, he kept active, enjoying long morning walks and often catching the bus to Waikiki to pick up Dolores from work; it was these small routines that brought him simple joy. He also had the opportunity to travel through Europe and always looked forward to memorable trips to Las Vegas. As his family grew, he felt blessed to see Elissa Jane with Randy and Richard with Mitzi marry and begin families of their own.
A devoted grandfather to Justin, Matthew, Brandon, Kyra, and Ian, he made many cherished visits to Los Angeles to spend time with them, treasuring every moment.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all relatives, friends, caregivers, and health care providers for their compassion and support. His love, wisdom, and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of his family forever.
