Cynthia Kisako Hashimoto of Mililani Mauka passed away on January 15, 2024. She was born in Wahiawa on June 4, 1947, to Kenneth and Rachael Harada (deceased) of Dot's in Wahiawa.
Cynthia attended Leilehua High School and graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute in 1965. Her pursuit of education led her to the University of Hawaii, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology in 1970. During her time at the university, she crossed paths with her future husband, Ted W. Hashimoto, from Hilo, while serving as an Army ROTC Sponsor. For the next 30 years, Cyn was an Army wife, faithfully and dutifully supporting Ted's military career, raising six sons, and serving as a Red Cross, Army Community Services, and Army Thrift Stores volunteer.
Cynthia is survived by her devoted husband, Ted, and her six sons: Brent (Shannon), Wade (Sunny), Marc (Kristi), Sean (Nicole), Ken (Hollie), and Kyle (Amy). She was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Cyn's Celebration of Life Memorial is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, at Mililani Cemetery Mauka Chapel. Viewing and Family Visitation begins at 5:30 pm., with Services at 6:30 pm.
The Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Shinnyo-En Hawaii, Tripler Army Medical Center, CareSift for Seniors, Islands Hospice, and Mary Ann Ford's Care Home for their compassionate care during Cynthia's illness.
The Family requests no Koden/ monetary offerings; if you still wish to give, we kindly ask that you donate your offering to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Cyntihia's memory.
Cynthia will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, service, and devotion will continue to inspire those she touched.
