DARLENE U’ILANI KAY, 66, of Wai’anae, Hawai’i, received her wings on March 13th peacefully at home. She was born on April 13, 1956 in Wai’anae and was a Preschool Teacher for the last 31 years on the Leeward Coast.
She is survived by husband, Cedric Winston “Ali’i” Kay Sr.; sons Cedric Kay Jr. (Nalani), Israel Kay, and Isaiah Kay; daughters Janelle Chalker (JR) and Nicole Kiliona (Andrew); brother Arthur Anderson; sister Colleen Kaloi-Anderson (Leonard); grandchildren; Jordan Kay, Aidan Kay, Kaila Mattos-Kay, Razael Kay, Ava Kay, Jairus-Josiah Kiliona & Jaison-Drew Kiliona.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30pm, and service starts at 6:30pm. Casual attire appropriate/royal blue attire is requested by the family.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 86-416 Halona Road, Wai’anae, HI 96792. Casual attire appropriate. No alcohol will be served.
