Darryl S. Campana, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 61, after a brave battle with sarcoma cancer. Born on July 21, 1963, in Irvington, New Jersey, Darryl's zest for life and love for family touched everyone he met. His final days were spent surrounded by the love of his family in his home in Haleiwa, Hawaii, where he had made a wonderful life for himself and his loved ones.
Educated in Arizona and later in South Carolina, where he attended chiropractic school, Darryl dedicated his life to the well-being of others. As a doctor of chiropractic medicine, he worked alongside his brother in New Jersey, where they operated several successful clinics. Their professional partnership was a testament to their strong family ties and shared commitment to health and community service.
While practicing chiropractic Darryl & his brother also began real-estate investing. They had holdings in New Jersey, Florida, Hawaii & Costa Rica.
After many years of serving as a chiropractor, Darryl embarked on a new adventure, moving to Hawaii with his beloved wife, Donna Campana. His brother joined them shortly after. Together, they started North Shore Termite and Pest Control, a business that quickly became known for its integrity and excellent service, mirroring Darryl & Paul's own values.
Darryl's hobbies were as diverse as his skills, reflecting a life lived to the fullest. He was an avid boater, fisherman, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for motorcycles, skiing, surfing, and golfing showcased his adventurous spirit and his passion for the outdoors. Those who knew Darryl will fondly remember his friendly demeanor and selfless nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or talk story for a good laugh.
Generosity defined Darryl's essence, as he was always the first to offer support to friends and strangers alike. His selflessness was evident in every aspect of his life, from his professional work to the care he provided to his family. He was always a friendly presence in the community, known for his ability to make everyone feel at home in his presence.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife & companion of 32 years, Donna Campana, and their two children, Tiana Kai, 17, and Rocky Kahana, 14, who will carry on his legacy of kindness and compassion and hard work. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Campana, in 2021, and his parents, Paul Sr. and Gail Campana. His family takes comfort in knowing that Darryl's spirit will continue to guide and inspire them in all their endeavors.
As we say goodbye to Darryl, we reflect on a life well-lived, marked by an unwavering commitment to family, friends, and community. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the enduring impact of his generous soul. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories of his friendship and the example he set for all of us will remain in our hearts forever.
Darryl's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, where his family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the extraordinary life he led. His spirit will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely to everyone around him.
