David Ioane Kekahuna's Obituary
David Ioane Kekahuna, 47, of Waianae, HI, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 6, 2025. Born on March 25, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawai’i, to the late Calvin I. Kekahuna and late Emily E. Mederios.
David was the beloved brother of Lorna Kekahuna, Marleen Kekahuna, Francine Kekahuna-Fernandez, Ipo Shirley and a cherished uncle, friend, and mentor to many.
David was known for his big heart, hard work, and incredible talent through his business, Kekahuna Kustoms and Ioane Towing and Recovery LLC. Whether he was working on a project, helping a friend, or sharing laughs with family, David lived life with humility, aloha, and joy. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Sunday, November 9th at Mililani Mortuary (Mauka Chapel), visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and Services starting at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and love in his memory.
The Kekahuna ‘ohana would like to extend heartfelt mahalo to everyone who has shown their kindness, support, and aloha during this time of grief. David’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
